Secondary Colors – Violet, Green, Orange – Triad Color Scheme

Secondary colors are the result of combining 2 primary colors (red and blue for violet, yellow and blue for green, and yellow and red for orange). When using the secondary colors of violet, green and orange in triad color schemes for the garden, green can almost come across as a “non-color,” or backdrop instead of an equi-balanced addition. You can avoid this by considering texture, form and depth of color when selecting green plants for your landscape, creating a more definitive look. Some options to consider:
